Program: Rincon Fire Chief Ed Hadfield

Presentation: Recognition of a Rincon outstanding Firefighter/EMT with a Kiwanis Award of Excellence!



Chief Hadfield was appointed to the Rincon Fire Department in 2015 and previously held leadership roles with numerous cities including Santa Maria, Coronado and Huntington Beach.  During his 30+ years of service, he established regional fire command programs, mentoring models and health and safety programs which upgraded and improved the agencies under his command.  He is a primary instructor at statewide and national conferences and recently awarded the California Fire Chief Certification and Designation. Chief Hadfield was the 37th fire chief to receive the prestigious by the International Fire Chiefs Association.

Chief Hadfield is regularly recognized in Fire Engineering magazine, Firehouse Magazine, The Orange County Firefighter magazine, California Fire Service magazine, and Fire Engineering’s on-line training programs and Blog Talk Radio shows.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and a Associates in Fire Protection Administration from Santa Ana College. In 2017, he received Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from California Coast University. He is also a Certified Chief Officer, Fire Marshal and Safety Officer with the State of California.
